While they’re making faux English pubs over here, over there they’re tearing down actual ones.
This is a great thing that they’re forced to rebuild it. It might be a precedent.
I’m not sure we aren’t so “legalistic” here these days that a similarly behaving developer couldn’t have got away with it. He would have done it “a few days” before its being listed and was therefore in the “right.” Real justice is the Westminster Council’s order, not justice denied. Justice indeed!
They’re from Tel Aviv; culturally, they’re used to bulldozing homes, businesses, ancient olive groves. Jerusalem is just a Las Vegas real estate play.
