In NY, Long Island City is also known as “Little Toronto”.
It feels quite a bit like walking around Yaletown when you’re actually on that Seawall. The street furniture is remarkably like Vancouver’s.
Even looking at the construction of the boardwalk you notice little things, like Robertson’s screws for instance.
The biggest difference I noticed is that there were tons of kids running around.
