Ohrn Image: Pink, but not cherries

Found this the other day in Jericho Beach park.  A magnolia with giant blossoms.

Interesting to note that the York Street part of the PGR bike route is lined with Star magnolias for several blocks, and they are currently in blossom.

  1. York Street, BTW, is the secret weapon of fast cycle commuting from north Kits to the Burrard Bridge and vice versa: two stop signs between Stephens and Burrard, compared to six lights on Cornwall. And no traffic and all those beautiful trees!
