  1. I want to add some commentary to my comment above:
Why the increase on the Burrard Bridge significant?
Because we see that cycle usage over the 2 other locations (d. viaduct, dunsmuir) only increased by less than 8000 over last year. (eg the viaduct only increased from 51,000 to 55,000, or 7.8%) Interestingly, usage on Hornby (connected to burrard bridge) increased by 17%.
This means that the improved design on the B. Bridge South Side must account for at least 30% of the increase.
In fact, the increase on the burrard bridge from Sep 2013 to Sep 2014 is the largest % increase of cyclists since the lane opened.

    1. Thanks for posting this. Awesome numbers. I know that one prominent councillor was concerned that bike counts had flattened in recent years on the separated routes. These numbers show the importance of making complete networks. Build it and they will come!

    1. So now we’re really down to three choices: the candidate in the right pocket of big money, the candidate in the left pocket of big money and the candidate making ridiculous proposals in Chinese. So sad.
