Amanita muscaria. Poisonous sadly.
What a coincidence. Yesterday my kids found some of those growing nearby which prompted a discussion about how nature often uses brightly coloured patterns as indicators of poison.
I saw some of these little guys in Port Moody!
They are beautiful.
Fly Amanita! They’re poisonous, but not deadly – best just to look at them and take photos if you wish.
Definitely real. I get a few of these in my front yard around this time every year.
Apparently they’re hallucinogenic…
