Position Wanted: Advocacy Chair – British Columbia Cycling Coalition

The British Columbia Cycling Coalition is seeking an individual to serve on our board of directors that will lead and inspire our efforts to make B.C. a great place for people of all ages to cycle for transportation, recreation and tourism.
This role includes:

  • Chairing and coordinating the arrangement of 4 to 6 advocacy committee meeting teleconferences per year;
  • Coordinating the liaison between the BCCC, member organizations and other groups on cycling issues and to help coordinate advocacy efforts;
  • Recruiting members for the advocacy committee;
  • Arranging meetings with decision makers;
  • Chairing the advocacy session at BC Bikes, our annual conference; and
  • Working with the Individual and Business Engagement Chairs to ensure that engagement efforts support and leverage advocacy efforts.

This is a volunteer position.
