This tour of South False Creek is going to be really interesting, given the history of South Flase Creek – the first planned residential community developed in what was a polluted industrial basin. And an expression of the values of the 1970s in a new political era.
It’s open to all – and a good chance to get to know some members of the ULI here.

Just bad timing for me. Sounds very interesting. I remember the ‘old days’ there – wood chips and smoke. Hope you are able to offer this tour another time.
Seriously? Unless you’re retired or a student with an open afternoon, who can attend a walk from 2:00 – 4:30 on a Wednesday???
Unfortunately unless there is a regime change at city hall, I only see the future of South False Creek as being one of dehumanizing towers.
And speaking of the 1970s, in case you haven’t seen this article about Toronto, I thought you might be interested in – “Feeling the City: Getting at the Historical Sights and Sounds of Downtown” by Daniel Ross on October 6, 2014 at ActiveHistory.ca: http://activehistory.ca/2014/10/feeling-the-city-getting-at-the-historical-sights-smells-and-sounds-of-downtown/
