Another Launch for the Urbanarium

There have been a few launches over the years for the Urbanarium, founded in the early 1980s by Ray Spaxman, former City of Vancouver Director of Planning, as “a platform for advanced urban conversation in Metro Vancouver and a place where people can get reliable information without political or ideological bias.”

From board member Bruce Haden:

(This) website … includes a curated Events Calendar of what we consider the most important urban design and architecture events / exhibits / workshops etc. in our region. We will expand our calendar as we reach out to more event providers such as municipalities, non profits  and universities. As we grow, we will carry out projects that support both professionals and the general public contributing to the urban conversation.

.

Also we are starting a couple of hashtags: #forsmartcities and #urbanarium.
