Here’s a window display from a shop in Gastown.
The bike, an elegantly upright fixie, has been copper-plated, or anodized, or something like that. Except, that is, for the seat, handle grips, pedal pads, tires, pump handles, a few mechanical components and the valve caps. The bike looks usable, lacking only a light and reflectors to be truly street-legal.

That would cost a pretty penny.
Now we know where the old pennies may have gone . . .
That makes a lot of cents.
Personally, I think it’s a lovely way to cash in on the currency of bike riding.
