I’m wondering about the caption for the first picture – I would have thought that the picture was taken more recently than the 60s or 70s as Harbour Green Park wasn’t built until the early 2000s and the towers on the Bayshore lands went in about the same time.
That confused me for a moment as well. All photographs were taken very recently, probably all on the same flight. The captions represent the time period that the neighbourhoods were built in their current form.
AH-hah! Thanks for helping me to make sense of the captions and pictures
The first pic would be better captioned:
West End (background): 1960s-70s
Coal Harbour (foreground): 1990s
The second pic would be better captioned:
Metrotown: 1980s and ongoing,/i>
And the third pic would be better captioned:
Brentwood Town Centre: 2000s and ongoing
Both Metrotown and Brentwood Town Cnetre are abou to get much denser and taller.
