Much has happened since Velo-city Global 2012 brought over 800 cycling experts to British Columbia. Cities across the Province are adopting cycling plans aimed at encouraging more people to cycle and continuing to improve cycling cycle networks with paths and separated bike lanes.
VeloWorks 2014 will build upon the legacy of Velo-city Global by highlighting these and other plans, improvements and programs from around the region and Province by bringing together political leaders, cycling experts and advocates to further move cycling forward.
The conference will feature experts on all aspects of cycling tourism including network development, product development, marketing, wayfinding and events. Also included will be practically advice on how the hospitality industry can cater to and attract cycling customers.
Technical tours, September 18, led by City of Vancouver staff will featuring new and upgraded all ages and abilities infrastructure including the Burrard/Cornwall Intersection, the York Bikeway, the Seaside Greenway along Point Grey Road, the Adanac Bikeway, the Main Union Intersection and the Carrall Greenway.
