Beautiful. I wonder what the marginal cost of building a facade like that is over the current stucco/hardie/glass in vogue today. Undoubtedly the sides and rear of the building are brick (or similar inexpensive material) and the lot only looks to be about 50 feet wide, so there really isn’t that much surface of the building done this ornately.
Surely in terms of overall building costs doing something like this wouldn’t break the bank, even if the forms for those details are hand sculpted, they repeat quite a lot.
