In a small neighbourhood park in Barcelona – in this case, Jardins del Mestre Balcells (map here) – there are all the elements, albeit in a more compact space, that you’d expect in a park in Vancouver.

But in Barcelona, you’d likely have to know where this park is – hidden from view, tucked into a block bordered by buildings, with only two entrances on side streets, one of which looks like this:
