Yup .. Car oriented Vancouver surely could benefit from this too along streets that should really be pedestrian zones but that will not due to ” we need parking ” requirements, such as 4th, S-Granville, Broadway, Denman, Davie or Robson Street.
I’m sure lots of merchants on streets like South Granville, w. 4th, etc. would be happy to have widened sidewalks as well as on- street parking, just like Castro will have.

Where is the vision in Vision Vancouver ?

Why does the parking have to be on-street? Build some underground parkades and we can have both a better street and parking for those who want it.
