Winner: Best Place for an Annual General Meeting

Well, not exactly there, and that’s not an AGM.  (It’s a drumming pick-up on a summer evening.)  But it is at Third Beach, and the Vancouver Public Space Network is having an AGM there on Sunday, June 22 at 2 pm.

Not only is the VPSN a lively, all-volunteer group – but it’s also a registered non-profit society.

Each year, as part of our AGM, members convene to eat, drink and be merry… and discuss VPSN activities. All are welcome!

The AGM is also an opportunity to elect new Board Members. This is a great opportunity for people with an interest in public space issues to get involved with the Network. In addition to assisting with governance and leadership activities, Board members are also responsible for helping the VPSN with its non-partisan advocacy work.

The VPSN Board of Directors is portfolio-based, and we currently have vacancies in a few priority areas: Parks & Greenspaces, Safe Spaces, Social Use of Public Spaces, and Public Health.
