I have been doing the initial research for this walk, thanks to the New Westminster Museum’s archives, and I think it will be both fun and informative. Did you know that the electric railway that ran between New Westminster and Vancouver before the turn of the 20th Century was the longest of its kind in North America at the time it was built? At the time, it was the cutting edge technology for transportation. Maybe it is time we considered unearthing those old tracks and bringing some of this back. I welcome anyone to come walk with us and discuss how this old technology might just be the ticket for today and tomorrow.
Well, I really wish that I could attend this walk, it sounds like a very informative and worthwhile topic, but I unfortunately, I will be leading a Jane’s Walk bike tour at the exact same time in Vancouver.
