Drawing from recent work convening a National Dialogue on Mental Health, Lukensmeyer will highlight methods to blend face-to-face and online engagement, and will discuss the opportunity for public engagement to promote action when policies are deadlocked due to overlapping jurisdiction. Participants will work in teams to self-evaluate the citizen engagement infrastructure in their field and explore possibilities to extend their work.

Due to heavy demand, the workshop is targeted to citizen engagement professionals from government and non-profit organizations who work in one or more of the following fields:

  • City / Neighbourhood Planning
  • Transportation
  • Mental Health and Addictions
