EcoPave seemed like such a ludicrous name and concept that I had to google. Turns out they offer Hot In Place Asphalt Recycling, which implies they melt pot-holed surface, add a bit, and resolidify. I wondered how much energy, materials and money that saved, so googled some more.
“resurface 13 miles with a budget that only covers 10 miles” offers a HIPAR competitor, enthusiastically.
