Parking in Portland

Back in the 90s, Portland was so influenced by Vancouverism that it created its own version: the South Waterfront neighbourhood:

(Fair enough.  Vancouver was so influenced by Portland’s Pearl District that we went mid-rise in the Olympic Village.)

Development slowed in the post-Millennial period; there are still more highrises to come.  But one aspect of the community has only accelerated: the multi-modal transportation system.   In one place you can access the streetcar, an aerial tram, a cycle track – and the largest bike valet parking lot in America.
