Autumn in Vancouver – 3

This week, images of autumn – yours and mine.  Here are a couple taken along Seaside on Sunday, when the golden light in the late afternoon, with commensurately dark shadows, combined with the rich colours of fall to create a painted landscape  in a way that didn’t seem quite real.  These are uncorrected images – notably that contrast of the leaves against the sky in the second picture.

A fall without wind and rain, allowing the leaves to hang in place even as they change, along with temperatures almost the equivalent of a summer day along the coast … does it get any better?

  1. And any day now, that cluster of trees in the first image will be draped in lights for Christmas (if it isn’t illuminated already). One of the prettiest spots in town, at least when the traffic on Beach isn’t too deafening.
