Advances in the Electrification of Transportation: Design, Innovation and User Experience

Early adopters are reaping the benefits of electrical vehicle ownership with savings in fuel costs and consumer acceptance is growing. Advances are underway in the electric vehicle industry to further tackle the issues of range with developments in battery technology and charging infrastructure.

At the September 2013 GTEx Forum in Vancouver, three unique perspectives – design, innovation and user experience will be explored. Learn about what has happened since the initial penetration of EVs in the market where it may take us in the future.

  1. We’re actually coming full circle. In the early days of the “horseless carriage” electric cars were quite a popular choice because they didn’t require cranking. Add all the electric trams and subways and most of the population was getting around cities by human or electric power.
