I’m glad cyclists know what’s going on here and that it is apparently safer, but I don’t understand this picture at all. It looks like there is an eastbound traffic lane for local access. Is that correct?
It is an east and west bound lane for bicycle traffic that connects from Union/Adanac (Vancouver’s busiest bike corridor) to Carrall St.’s separated bike lane for access to downtown. Give it a try on your bike — it’s terrific.
Shouldn’t it have shark teeth to indicate who has right of way?
