Kirk Crippens, a photographer from San Francisco, made 45 portraits for his series Portraitlandia. Although Wired presents only 20 of the portraits, Portraitlandia is intended to be viewed as a group, says Crippens. “Together they reflect as much of the city as I could photograph and I can show.”
