Upcycled Urbanism on Granville

  1. The plan was always to open Granville Street for pedestrians only for festivals, events and special installations for VIVA Vancouver and other times of the year. The parallel streets of Howe and Seymour faciltiate trolley bus movements when this occurs. Having partners like TransLink and the City of Vancouver on side is critical.

    1. Yes, Translink and the City of Vancouver are tight knit partners, same with New West & Coquitlam. Not so much Surrey, especially not Burnaby. For good or bad, the Liberals won the election and Translink stays, but has no money.
