An Amusing Distraction

Which you might need while killing time on a pre-holiday afternoon while waiting long enough so you can sneak out without anyone thinking you really should be booking time off rather than trying to pretend you’re working a full afternoon … oh, wait.  There’s no one around to notice. 
Nevertheless, Tom Durning passes this along because it’s so damn ingenious. Probably someone on a late afternoon in 1781 was fiddling at this desk, wondering how to sneak out of the palace with no one noticing …
