The Sliding Stones of Death Valley National Park in California, USA continue to baffle experts who are at a loss to explain why they have moved across a perfectly flat bed despite weighing up to 700 pounds each.

I don’t think it’s fair to say that the sliding stones “baffle” experts, or that they are “at a loss” to explain them. http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4021
The Wikipedia page also gives an overview of other studies, writing: “At least some stones were proved beyond a reasonable doubt to have been moved in ice floes that may be up to half a mile (800 m) wide. Physical evidence included swaths of lineated areas that could only have been created by moving thin sheets of ice. So wind alone and wind in conjunction with ice floes are thought to be motive forces.”
Very nice photos though, thanks for sharing.
Great photos!
