Devil’s advocate: Quite the crop at the right hand side. Are we perhaps not seeing a vehicle in front of this one that parked poorly and forced the meter overlap? Bit far from the curb for my taste, though.
I am looking at the dent in the passenger side panel above the rear wheel rim-isn’t that the same shape as a parking meter post? That could explain the distance from the curb and the need to take up two spaces.
City vehicles on City business are not required to pay at meters, from what I understand; in case anyone is up in arms about that. Disagree with the policy if you want, but that’s not an infraction.

If you park in two spaces, can you be ticketed for failing to pay in both meters?

Parking more than a foot from the curb should garner a ticket…
At least he /she has the vehicle facing in the right direction.
Parking too far for the curb is a safety issue for cyclists. I wish parking enforcement would make this a higher priority.
Hint: no cars were on either side. Photo was straight on. No cropping. Enforcement officer was ticketing folks on the other side of the road.
If the officer was on the other side of the street, can I suggest tacking on a a likely jay-walking offense to the count?
