Passerelle of the Future: Paris Bounce

Looks like we have a whole new category of proposed passerelles (here and here and here) and here:

From Flavorwire:

A new conceptual design by Paris-based studio AZC won the “Bridge in Paris” competition …  They’ve dreamed up an inflatable bridge that’s outfitted with giant trampolines that allow you to bounce your way from the Left Bank over to the Right Bank.

  1. The artist who created the concept image seems to have bodies flying 50 feet in the air (though the scale is a little difficult to determine). Why wouldn’t they just fly over the side of the bridge and into the Seine? And who’d want to risk being whacked by flying bodies?

    Trampo-Bridge as “art installation” perhaps, but as a crossing… maybe not so likely.
