A video promoting Canada as a tourist destination has been an online hit around the world, generating about 1.6 million views since its Nov. 20 launch on YouTube, says the Canadian Tourism Commission.
.
The video, produced in 30-second and two-minute versions, was pieced together from some of the 8,000-plus submissions the commission received this past summer in response to a contest calling for visuals that “captured the essence” of Canada.
Accompanied by a soundtrack from Vancouver rock band Yukon Blonde, the rapid-fire sequence of outdoor action shots, animal scenes, city skylines and panoramic landscapes is “an anthem for Canada to inspire visitors from around the world to come visit here,” said commission CEO Michele McKenzie.

Nice. If only it was affordable to travel within Canada. Via Rail is way out of date and super slow. Flight prices are insane. We live in the west, travelling out east, which we would love to do, is often close to price to flying to Europe. Or we just travel to the US which is far cheaper.
This video is a total hoot. I love all the laughter.
