The idea of contributing my carbon offsets to those at my speaking events who come up with some small gesture of sustainability keeps having more of an impact that I anticipated.

I’ve decided to do this regularly. (Portland ideas coming up.) Eventually I hope to convince some conference organizers to pool the offsets of everyone who attends (at least those who contribute) and then auction off the accumulated amount for the best idea. Could run into the thousands of dollars, with perhaps some extraordinary results.
