Connections: Public policy and the future of Delta

From Global TV, November 12:

John Daly: Free parking is the law.

Mayor Jackson: We put a bylaw together that says: We will not be charging for parking in Delta.  We will not be having any meters in Delta.

.

From the Vancouver Sun, November 19:

As the mayor of Future Delta you hold the levers of control and how you build  for the future, conserve resources and plan for the effects of global warming  will determine the fate of the city.

Will you be wading through a metre of water to get through the front door of  city hall? That will depend on how successful you are at managing the city’s  carbon footprint and whether you invested in dikes.

University of British Columbia professor Stephen Sheppard is taking the  prototype of his immersive video game Future Delta for a spin with high school  students, gaming experts and Delta city staff this month with the goal of  producing a gameworld to model the effects of climate change.

How about a separated bike lane?
