Cohousing: A solution to isolation in the city?

Let’s Talk Cohousing is hosting a workshop on Saturday, September 22 from 9 – 11 am as part of the SFU Civic Summit: Alone Together: Connecting in the City

This workshop will engage the public in a discussion of how cohousing creates community and breaks down isolation. This workshop will be held in Room 7000, SFU Harbour Centre, 515 W. Hastings St., Vancouver, BC.

Join cohousing advocate and development consultant Ronaye Matthew, senior cohousing advocate ML Burke, developer Alan Forrester and consultant Janis Magnuson for an introduction to the concept of cohousing and a discussion of how to create more cohousing projects in Metro Vancouver.

ML Burke is the creator of  “Cohousing with a Twist”, winner of the People’s Choice Award in the recent City of Vancouver’s Re:Think Housing competition in the category of “Vibrant Neighbourhoods – Public/Private Land”.

This event is part of “Alone Together: Connecting in the City” a community summit organized by SFU’s Public Square program, with the support of the Vancouver Foundation. This is a free public event.
