The City of Calgary is building up its bicycle program and is currently taking applications for a Traffic Engineer specializing bicycle facility design. Calgary is at the edge of the Canadian Rockies and has a world class pathway system, light rail system, and soon to have a great on-street bikeway network. If you want to work on cycle tracks and other bike projects, and are a Traffic Engineer, please consider applying.
The City has budgeted $20m over the next few years to improve bicycling, with a focus on doing cycle tracks in the downtown. You don’t have to be a Canadian citizen or have a visa to work in Canada necessarily. I just got hired three months ago, am a US citizen, and successfully went through the hiring and immigration process,so that should not keep you from applying at least.
