City Conversation: Lonely in Vancouver

Lonely in Vancouver: the Vancouver Foundation Report

When: September 20, 2012
Time: 12:30-1:30 pm
Location: SFU Vancouver, Harbour Centre, Room 1600

As part of the SFU Public Square Community Summit, City Conversations will feature a dialogue on the Vancouver Foundation report on isolation in the region, featuring the foundation’s Catherine Clement, Vice President, Public Engagement and Communications, and Daphne Bramham, award-winning columnist for the Vancouver Sun. They’ll start with who feels lonely and why, and consider how residents can become more active and connected in their neighbourhoods and communities. Then it’s your turn to question, comment, challenge, and share your own story.

The event starts promptly at 12:30 pm and ends at 1:30 pm in Room 1600 at SFU Harbour Centre, 515 West Hastings Street. It’s free and open to the public, but we encourage participants to come a bit early to secure a seat, and to bring your lunch if you wish.
