Price Tags has a “Jobs Jar” to post occupations available of interest to our readers. Now our first home – possibly out of reach for many. But you can dream:
Coast Modern went for a visit:
An Erickson/Massey home designed by lead architect Bruno Freschi in 1966 … unobstructed views of Howe Sound in West Vancouver. The Staples House is a sister house to the more well know Smith House down the road near Lighthouse Park. (More pics here.)
The owner adds her comments:
On Isleview Road, West Vancouver. It is a 1966 Erickson Massey house; Bruno Freschi was the young project architect. He was just out of university. Don Vaughan was the landscape architect, also just out of university. The house looks like the younger twin of the Smith House except that it hangs out over a steep cliff facing Howe Sound.
Huge solid Douglas fir post and beams, exposed aggregate concrete, mahogany-venered built in cupboards, Welsh quarry tile floors and glass glass glass glass.
Looking for a buyer who will appreciate owning a West Coast work of art: 2,600 square feet on an quiet cul de sac and a half acre of waterfront.
