My merry band will be walking Yukon Street at 10am on Sunday 6th (I know it’s early, but I wanted to get over to Fraser for Mike Klassen at 1pm). That bike boulevard has an off-street bike path, some interesting intersection experiments, ever-wider streets as you go north (including no sidewalk on some blocks – and some people worry about bikelanes!), laneway houses, single families, multi-families, new and old, We’ll do a little detour at 18th to see the mid-zone retail at Columbia too.
I’m coming at the area with the eyes of an interested newbie, so I hope we’ll get some Mount Pleasant locals who can chat about the history of the route.
