  1. Note one of the comments under the image – “This is NOT an IKEA home, but an ideabox home with our option of ikea interior. We sell pre-fabs to all western states, and this was a collaboration for a show with ikea cabs, floors and built-ins. ideabox ships them completely finished. Also, the show price was 79,500, the retail is 86,500. The loose furniture is NOT included. Perfect for vacation properties!”

IKEA do make prefab homes, called BoKlok, but only in Europe http://www.boklok.com/. Apparently the allen wrench is huge!

  2. Maybe that could help Vancouver’s affordability problem?
(oh, but wait, the City like to install granite countertops in their social housing…(i.e. Olympic Village))

  3. “around 40 percent of the homes will include three or more bedrooms” reads the link posted by Stephen Rees…

Do you know how much 3bedrooms are planned in the Rize (Kingsway#Broadway)?

Nimbys oppose this development, for a host of reasons, but they are certainly not concerned by the lack of housing option for families in Vancouver.

the % of 3 bedrooms in the Rize is symptomatic of the problem of Vancouver housing supply.
