Low Carbon High Rise

Our love affair (and the world’s) with the glassy highrise tower has sometimes obscured how unsustainable those suckers can be.  But it’s being looked at. The Real Estate Foundation of B.C. is involved through a grant to Light House to assist with development of the framework and “road testing” it on a highrise in Vancouver.

Swiss experts at INTEP LLP are working with BC’s Light House Sustainable Building Centre and a private developer to create and test policy measures for BC to meets its GHG emission reductions.
