From our favourite library:
Belzberg Library (at SFU Harbour Centre – 515 West Hastings) is participating in the SFU Library’s celebration with a list of books that have been banned or challenged in schools, libraries and bookstores. Students and faculty are invited to indicate which of these banned books
they’ve read to show their support for Freedom to Read. At the end of the week, we’ll announce the name of the most-read banned book at SFU Vancouver!
If you can’t make it to the library, you can participate online with a Freedom to Read Week quiz – you may even win an SFU Bookstore gift certificate. Or check out the events and displays at Bennett and Fraser Libraries.
For more information (including a list of frequently challenged books), please drop by Belzberg Library or visit the Freedom to Read website.
