Not Your Father’s Surrey

Surrey keeps doing the unexpected.  For example:

Clean Energy City Award

Organizations, businesses, and individuals who are working to reduce energy consumption or increase energy conservation in the City of Surrey are invited to submit for the Clean Energy City Award:

Eligible projects could include: Energy conservation in a physical location or building (e.g. smart building concept, smart recycling with regeneration);

– Energy conservation in a business (e.g. corporate emissions plan, incorporating new technology);

– Enhancing energy efficiency and implementing resource sharing program (e.g. carpool program, public bike system);

– Education or public awareness.

The Clean Energy City Award is part of a family of awards  to celebrate excellence in urban design and sustainable community development.
