If I were in the fundamentalist preaching biz, looking around God’s creation for signs of His intentions, wrathful and otherwise, wouldn’t this be good fodder?
Rapid change in the natural order of things:

You know: God, light, purpose of life. It’s right there at the Bibical beginning, ripe for interpretation.
Indeed, God seems to be rather blunt, even whimsical, in His manifestations these days. Some of the most apocalyptic-style events are occurring in places that make their wealth pulling carbon out of the ground to be burned in very large quantitities.
