Okay, this is getting a bit much. Three times in one day I come across something clever coming out of Stumptown.
This time: “Listen Local,” a pilot program that replaces the City’s previous on-hold music with music by Portland musicians.

This is a brilliant idea, and one i’d love to see Vancouver implement.
Seattle also has plays homegrown acts on their hold line. They even have a website where you can find out who you’re listening, buy the album or subscribe to the podcast.
