The Good Life: Discuss

Aan upcoming Urban Land Insitute event you might want to take in:

The City in 2050: Creating Blueprints for Change is a 6-part event series designed to examine the needs of the people, places and policies that will influence development in British Columbia now and into the future. This series will explore and help define what land use professionals will need to consider while seeking to create communities that are economically, environmentally and socially sustainable.

Where do we want to be in the year 2050 and how do we intend to get there?

The kick-off event, The 2050 Good Life: What Can We Achieve? sets the stage for the event series. Join Join Gordon Harris, President and CEO, SFU Community Trust, Mark Holland, Principal with HB Lanarc, and Sadhu Johnston, Vancouver’s new Deputy City Manager, for this thought- provoking dialogue that will guide and inspire participants as we look at the necessary changes to how we build and develop, in order to create more sustainable communities.

  1. I thought this was a good launch event, and I hope future meetings will allow for more discussion. It would be great to see them as workshops where the vision for 2050 and how to get there can be squeezed and prodded and pulled and something refined and workable produced as a result.

    Excellent lunch by the way!
