The United States. (And sometimes, listening to their debates on health care and funding, it seems more foreign than ever.) Actually, in this case, it’s a trip to Seattle.
How to win? Become a subscriber to the Sightline Daily. As a board member of Sightline, I can heartily recommend it. But if you want a more objective observer, how about Stephen Rees. He thinks it’s a good idea too:
In my in box every morning at ten I get an email from the Sightline Institute. Every morning, their editors get up at 5 AM and read more than 40 newspapers – and obviously not just from the North West. They pick up the top ten sustainability stories and deliver them in a scannable email.
Between now and October 28, as an added benefit for signing up, new subscribers will be entered to win a two-night trip to Seattle including a hotel stay, meals out, and activities—all on Sightline.
The signup page is here.

Neat prize, but one thing confuses me coming from a sustainability organization:
“Trip consists of up to USD $250 toward train transportation to Seattle, WA; up to USD $50 toward taxi fares from the train depot to the hotel . . .”
It’s the Olive 8. Shouldn’t they give you a couple of tickets for Central Link (or a weekend pass! even better) instead of a taxi?
Thanks for your comment. The money could actually be used for however the winner decides to travel around the city. The spirit of the trip is to allow people to travel as sustainably as possible, but acknowledges that there are some folks out there who aren’t comfortable carting luggage on the bus/light rail.
Last year we were able to buy Link DayPasses for the Vancouver trip, but unfortunately Sound Transit doesn’t offer an equivalent.
