It was exactly thirty years ago this week – November 1, actually – that I moved to Vancouver from Victoria. So I’ve now spent more of my life living on the downtown peninsula (I’m never crossing a bridge) than anywhere else.
The first apartment that I called home – the Queen Charlotte, at Nicola and Pendrell (below) – will always be associated with a time of discovery and maturity, the time when I became a West Ender.
I’ll always felt I’d be happy living in the concrete jungle. Now I know I’m content.
Back again at the end of the week.

The Queen Charlotte is my favourite building in the West End – looks like a lovely place to live!
Congrats on 30years here, I think it would be interesting to read your thoughts on the changes in Vancouver over the last 30 years and what changes you expect to see over the next 30.
I agree with Joe Just Joe. Time for an “autobiography” of Vancouver?
