Notice anything different between this:

 Presentation Centre before

And this: Presentation Centre after

But of course: a bike rack.  Full of bikes.

After dumping on Concord for the curious absence of this amenity at their Presentation Centre, I’m happy to acknowledge the change.

  1. The rack is in an excellent location. High visibility, out of the way of pedestrians, especially wheelchair users, and it’s covered. No wonder it’s well used.

  2. It’s in such a perfect spot it makes me wonder if the architect originally envisaged a rack there and it was omitted during construction.

Bike parking remains difficult in Victoria as well. Attending a recent event at a Ramada Inn I asked the front desk staff where I should park my bike. The clerks looked at each other dumbfounded and eventually guessed there might be some kind of fence out back that could serve the purpose.
