The rack is in an excellent location. High visibility, out of the way of pedestrians, especially wheelchair users, and it’s covered. No wonder it’s well used.

It’s in such a perfect spot it makes me wonder if the architect originally envisaged a rack there and it was omitted during construction.
Bike parking remains difficult in Victoria as well. Attending a recent event at a Ramada Inn I asked the front desk staff where I should park my bike. The clerks looked at each other dumbfounded and eventually guessed there might be some kind of fence out back that could serve the purpose.
