Loek Hesemans, a social policy officer with the Ministry of Health in The Netherlands came to Portland and Vancouver to see what lessons they might learn from us about the promotion of cycling. Yup, from us! Here’s an illustrated summary of his report – with lots of tags to other sources.
Also, the final instalment of our series, Washington on Rail – this time to Virginia to visit Clarendon on the Metro Orange Line. It’s a good example of what Brookings Fellow Chris Leinberger calls the conversion from “Drivable Suburban” to “Walkable Urban.”
