It’s a cliche, I know – but Vancouverites are so active, especially when the weather is nice. For instance, Saturday.
Begin with a run for a good cause in the morning.

Cycle over to East Van Farmers Market:


On the way back, check out David Lam Park for the Jazz Fest, where for some reason, they’ve bought out the hoola hoops:

The Kidzone is packed:

People scramble along the waterfront:

And just play on:

Stop for dinner on a patio and watch the party sail by on the Creek:

The music on the boat is bhangra, I think, or South Asian pop. At least it’s got a good beat as we cycle home along the seawall, looking forward to Canada Day.














So that’s where some of the people were on Saturday. I had to go downtown in the morning and it seemed so desolate there.
