No Medal for Olympic housing

Globe and Mail architectural critic Trevor Boody takes a look at the  designs approved for Olympic-site housing in South East False Creek, and is not impressed.

    Seems par for the course.
    WRT a culture of sufficiency, it seems to be the predictable outcome. Is it really worth the extra effort of trying to fit a square peg through a round hole (when everyone is seemingly against you), or just go with the flow?

  2. And as a side note, I’ve seen renderings of the buildings, and they don’t look as bad as the article makes them out to be. Good “background” buildings. Apparently the waterfront Erickson buildings are supposed to be the stars – haven’t seen renderings of those as yet.
